We were driving through town and this restaurant was suggested by local. It was exactly what we were looking for.Even though the menus were only in Portuguese, we were able to get our meetings across and had a wonderful meal. Although we just ordered âbeefâ, âporkâ and âlambâ, each dish came out and was incredible. We also had the house wine which was light and delightful.Obrigado e volte sempre.

Stunned there arenât more reviews of this wonderful cafe / restaurant, but then we only found it by accident. Everything was fresh and hand made - we had a chicken salad and a hamburger caco, both of which were scrumptious, and as accurately described by the cook / proprietor. We didnât have room for cake but the cakes looked very nice too. Not overpriced either.

We dedided to make a stop for lunch in Abrantes at 1pm on a saturday during the touristic season. But we found a phantom town. We parked in front of the Mercado Municipal closed, and walked about where Trip Advisor indicated we would find lots of restaurants. But we found only 1 gastronomic restaurant for which we did not have a reservation and this "Fast food a la portuguesa".
