Just outside the town and close to the Villa Gregoriana Park Royal Lakes is a must for anyone who has visited the waterworks of the famous Villas of Tivoli. The perfect destination after a day trip to Tivoli and in the territory of the Aniene Valley. A pa
We had been staying in Tivoli and wanted to get out of town. Ristorante Laghi die Reali was perfect, overlooking a trout pond with a light breeze, feeling like you were miles away. We were offered all sorts of trout, fresh, smoked, with pasta and without, local crayfish and local figs. It was a quiet Tuesday lunchtime so not that many people around, the only other guests being an Italian family. But we all seemed to enjoy our food and the service was friendly and efficient. You are on a working trout farm so there is evidence of real work going on around you - we had a pump making a noise nearby and one of the ponds was being cleaned - but it did not seem to matter.Grazie !!!

We found this place after meeting an English teacher (an Italian lady who teaches English to Italians) in the grocery store. She mentioned her friend, restauranteur/author Massimo Solini, the owner, was very welcoming to English speakers, since it allows him to practice his English. We came, we ate, we loved. Pasta to die for. Just go.

Restaurant 5 statue is a good place to live
The food was good and the service great. The pice of pizza was vary fair and the house wine was very inexpensive. It was pouring rain when we were leaving and we asked if they could call a taxi for us. One of the staff said they would be happy to drive us back to our B&B - great service indeed!
