We visited for dinner. This is a huge restaurant/bar/hangout. 630 fri night had around 30 min wait with no reservations. We enjoyed live music and a gift shop while we waited. Ordered a “virgin” daiquiri & an alcoholic piña colada. My husband watched bartender prepare and noticed they switched the order. Honest mistake, but didn’t think my 14 yr old niece needed rum! They were accommodating to fix the order. We were seated at a lovely beachfront seat for dinner. Waiter was a nice young guy who was helpful with good selections. Food came in a reasonable amount of time. Our party of 5 ordered a little of everything- mahi mahi, chicken sandwich, hamburger & 2 orders of fish tacos. Mahi mahi, & chicken sandwich were dry, Hamburger over cooked, & tacos were just blah. We had chicken wings, & Baja rolls for apps- both pretty tasty. I would recommend this joint for fun music drinks, & apps. Entree’s are lackluster. As I stated this place is enormous and there were 2 ladies toilets. There was a constant line of at least 6 irritated women waiting. I really don’t know how 2 toilets met codes this place was so large. Perhaps there were also toilets upstairs, but obviously not everyone can climb stairs. This was ridiculous and seemed to aggravate everyone.Thank you so much for your review. Yes... we do have upstairs women's restrooms and an elevator for those whom can't take the stairs :)

It also helps when a place takes you far beyond the expectations. Taco Tuesday doesn't disappoint and the ice tea is self serve fresh brewed goodness. What I noticed and was verified by a knowledgeable staff, everything is homemade with nothing pre-made, pre-cooked, bag of stuff kuka.. My Cuban Pork taco was real slow roasted pork and good stuff on top. At least a half dozen people came in for to go orders and they were all smiles when they came in... That shows return customers. The only negative I have for Chewie's Kitchen is that I live 7 hours away... I may have to move. Thanks for the great experienceThank You so much for taking the time to share your positive experience!! We are so grateful you gave us a try and are thrilled you enjoyed everything so much. Cheers!

We chose this place because it looked like it was there before they built all the touristy high priced restaurants across the street. But the prices were about the same as across the street. Its small, ok, its cramped, and its sticky, ( I know, salt air, cant be helped, and air was fighting to keep the place cool/warm. Would probably suit better to go when its not 100 degrees out and you can sit outside. Really nice band was playing and our curly haired server was so sweet and he kept an eye out for us pretty much the whole time we were there. I got the seafood platter. I dont eat fried but I was making an exception. The shrimp was fresh and large. There was 6 or 8 of them.a couple of pieces of fish, not sure the kind but it was very mild tasting.. The hushpuppies tasted bagged and the crab cakes ( i believe there were two) were a bomb. The coleslaw had no taste at all. The drinks are huge. The fries are bagged seasoned fries. My husband got a burger and fries. We also got chips and queso. It came to right under $50.00. However, you will get a more authentic atmosphere and we hit several of the restaurants across the street just to look. yes it probably would have been more comfortable in one of them but you will also average around $30 a plate and that's not including your drink. And wait time for food and check will probably be alot longer. And the smile of your server will probably not be as genuine.
