Situated in the heart of the old town, Taberna Ruel stood out among the array of other restaurants in the neighbourhood. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the restaurant itself is picturesque, with a pleasant courtyard at the back and exposed brickwork giving it a grotto feel. The food was well presented and tasty on the whole. However, we found the fish to be overly salted (and no, it wasnât bacalhau ). As you liked, we thought you would like our other suggestions too, so do not forget to ask on a next visit, which we hope will be soon.
