This is the only establishment where i prefer to go alone and have a drink at the bar. I am somewhat of a whiskey enthusiast and they have a great selection, the bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Sometimes i go there for breakfast and it is excellent.Definitely one of my favorite places, do give it a try.

If youâre in the mood for an off the beaten track Italian restaurant, this is a chance not to miss.Hidden behind the courthouse, yet only a hundred yards from the National Theatre, this is the most laid-back, friendly restaurant Iâve experienced in Cluj.Their menu is quite big, accommodating almost all tastes in international cuisine, but I recommend the Italian courses. I must have been there over a dozen times and each dinner has been a delight.The setting is simple, cosy and âhomyâ but as the old, carefully-renovated cellar is rather small, you may want to book in advance.One of the highlights at Osteria is, of course, the wine: their own, professional sommelier carefully sources wines from Romania but also Italy, France, South America. The wine list is impressive, so if youâre confused by the wide choice, just ask for a recommendation and youâll get the best match to your food.

The title says it all. No burger can come close to the ones from MeatUp. Their secret is the softest bun, that's solid enough to not crumble but soft enough to not be a distraction from the meat. Besides that, the meat is absolutely cooked to perfection, with a medium pink to it. The rest of the burger is pretty basic unless you want to switch it up. The 'Jam it Up' burger has an amazing bacon jam, you also got the peanut-butter burger which is great or the blue cheese one. More than that, you can even customise your own burger with however many beef patties you want, but also with pulled pork. I have to say, their 'I'm American' burger with pulled pork is heavenly. Not to take anything from the burger, the fries are also great; hand-cut, with skins on, optional parmesan and parsley, they're amazing. Besides the food, they also have some shakes that are pretty interesting (like the salted-caramel with a bacon strip on top). What tops this place off is the extremely short waiting time, making it a great option for a quick meal or a nice spot to drink a beer and eat an awesome burger.
