Wellington Squash Club played host to Abergavenny this evening and we held our post match dinner at the Skewerhouse. From first contact with the restaurant to leaving the door they were faultless. Great food, great service, great communication, I highly recommend a visit.

Traditional pub a few miles off the M5, J23. Large flat car park with electric if required (£5). Very nice food and a good selection of beers and ciders. The Sunday Carvery is recommended. Very friendly welcoming staff. Handy for Glastonbury, the Clarke Outlet Village and within walking distance to Nature Reserves. The pub has a Skittle Alley and function room and is dog friendly in the bar area. Went yesterday. Not impressed. Cesar salad £11 (chicken £2.50 extra if you want. We didnât). Wet brown lettuce. 3 slices advocado. Small amount of grated bland cheddar. Few anchovies. Total waste of money. Sister had a chicken dish - really small portion of chicken. Daughter had the salmon - 2 thin slices of potato. I had the beef boginoun burger. OK. Nothing special. Overpriced. Not impressed.
