We decided to bring the in-laws here for Sunday lunch to make a change from them cooking. We have been to Brewers Fayre's before so knew what to expect and that they serve a Sunday carvery but also a large choice on the menu. It is not a high end restaurant but that isnt what it claims to be and it was not what we intended to take them to as it was just an ordinary sunday lunch for a change. We arrived just after opening time so we knew the carvery would be nice and fresh and not stood for a while so this would please all. Plenty of parking in car park and quite a large place. We were asked upon entering if we had been brewers fayre before and knew what to do, which we said yes we did, she said we could choose where we wanted to sit as it was not that busy then. There is a large play area for children so great for families. We found a quiet table to suit. We had a look at the menu and I went up to see what veg they had with the carvery and what meat was on offer and relayed this back to everyone and that it was tomato soup as get this as part of the carvery. All of us decided that we would have the carvery and the in-laws decided they didnt want anything to drink other than water. Myself and hubby got the refill soft drinks. We went to order 3 carveries and 2 refill soft drinks and were given 2 glasses and told there was a water machine serving chilled water by the other drinks. We took these back. Then we got the soup and rolls for everyone. The mother-in-law had decided at this point that she no longer wanted the carvery and then the father in law got the menu and said what about fish and chips then. We explained that we had actually ordered and paid for 4 carveries and werent sure if we would be able to just change it but would see what we could do and also pointed out that she had looked at the menu to start and had decided to have a carvery! Anyway we went up and spoke to the girl on the till and explained the situation and she was very understanding and helpful and said it was no problem and sorted it out for us, and said obviously as the order for fish and chips was only going through then there would be a bit of a wait but if the rest of us wanted to get our carveries we could and the fish and chips would come when it was ready. We thanked her and apologised for being a nuisance etc. We waited till the fish and chips came and it looked really very good and so the 3 of us went up for our carvery. We couldnt fault the amount of meat that we got served and we all had a bit of each meat and they were all cooked beautifully. It was beef, gammon & turkey. The the cauliflower cheese was really very delicious and creamy and nice and cheesy and the cauliflower not over cooked. The roast potatoes were also really very good and as per usual I over pilled my plate and so hubby had bit extra, but he knows this happens so doesnt tend to put as much as he wants cos knows will end up having some of mind. The father-in-law thoroughly enjoyed his meal too and had quite a plate full and think enjoyed it because he does all the cooking, so it was nice for him not to have to and just enjoy it. The mother in law must have enjoyed her fish and chips cos had eaten half of it by time we came back with our carveries and then was asking for some of father-in-laws carvery. She got some but think would have eaten it all himself! And why she was wanting some when had first ordered it then decided didnt want it and had to change order who knows! But we thought it was clean and family friendly and staff very nice and just good food served in a pub type setting which is what we know it is and thought it was a good one at that and the food was really good and we ourselves would definately go back.

Have noticed this cafe driving past for a while and kept meaning to visit. Today I called in and was amazed at how good the food is. Cafe is very clean and smart with a varied healthy menu. The Budha boxes looked very good and were very popular. I had the smashed avacado on sourdough toast with poached egg, bacon and mushrooms. It was very tasty and was well presented. The coffee is also very good here. There is something on the menu for everyone here and the prices are very reasonable. Service is also good with very pleasant staff. Will be visiting regularly in future. Thanks very Much Mike! We will look forward to your next visit.

I have just left this pub with my wife as we where attending the christening of my neice's daughter. I ordered the food at 2:15pm and still not been served at 4:15pm.There was a lot in our party with children who also had not been served so they went next door to McDonald's. Many of our party ordered drinks on arrival only to be told they had non in stock. After ordering food we were told 90mins later that they hadn't got what we ordered instead of telling us at the time of ordering. They knew we were coming today as a large party yet still only had 2 young girls on serving both food and behind the bar. I felt very sorry for them as they were obviously upset but it wasn't their fault. Whoever manages this establishment needs to review how things are run. As like me, if other customers have the same experience they will never set foot in the place again.I ended up getting my money back (as did others) and went elsewhere.
