Reviews on Greek food in Maastricht, Limburg Province, The Netherlands. Touching Belgium on its west and just a few miles from Germany to the east, Maastricht is the capital of Holland’s southernmost region, Limburg. A town rich in history and culture, Maastricht boasts two wonderful town squares: Vrijthof, with Sint-Servaas Church, Sint-Jan's Cathedral and many bars, cafes and restaurants; and Markt, home to the town hall and, on Wednesday and Friday mornings, a fantastic vendor market. The city’s Vestigingswerken, or old town fortifications, are another big draw.

An ouzeri is a Greek meze-tapas bar, where Greeks love to have good long talks. The ouzo loosens the tongues, and the mezedes tapas feed the discussions.
A new restaurant on the block, this time a Greek Ouzeri, in Greece a place where you get together to catch up while eating several meze (tapas) and drinking beer, wine and ouzo. Tastefully decorated, modern with a definite Greek twist. Even the furniture was importede from Greece to make it all look authentic.Long list of warm & cold meze, plenty of vegetarian choices as well. Freshly made, you can check for yourself as the Greek chefs are busy in the open kitchen. We had fried eggplant, cheese and courgette croquettes, grilled sardines, lemon infused chicken and spicy feta mousse with home-made bread. Great bottle of red wine, a blend of international bestseller Cabernet and Greek Agiorgitiko. Finished with velvety Metaxa Reserva. Very friendly staff that still has has to get into the routine but they go about their way to make you feel at home, including a complimentary glass of ouzo. Other than next time they should use different dip sauces with the meze, instead of one general sauce (albeit a good one), nothing to complain about really.Highly recommended.

A nice place to have a decent meal. Service provided by the staff is friendly but a little chaotic (they brought us the wrong dish twice). Designwise you get the modern international one. Food is nice but not very Greek at all, the recipes seem to be too much adapted to western European flavors. Recommended for a quick meal.
