Last time I reviewed this restaurant, 5-years ago, it was my first time there. Now we've been there countless times and Nick's never disappoints. From great service (waitstaff assists all tables at all times) to a good bar and incredible food - it's all fabulous. On this week's visit I ordered the Special Appetizer of the Day - sesame coated feta cheese with a honey drizzle. I cannot wait to eat this deliciousness again! Yay Nick's - you've done it again and again!

Saturday. Arrived at tail end of brunch. All good until shift change and our waitress disappeared (around 4p on a Saturday). At this point we became invisible. Food was good. Bus service was good. Waitress service gets failing grade. Its really hard for me to not want to leave a tip. This day warranted it. (We still left 15% and that was way generous). Owner was there and he too was oblivious to the problem. (I hope he reads this post.) We were really dumbfounded. Brunch over at 330. Recommend not arriving between 3-330. After or before should avoid the problem we had.

We had lunch here. Unfortunately we were less than happy about food quality. The spinach pie appetizer was bland. Both the chicken souvlaki platter and the combination platter came with tasteless lemon potatoes (supposedly a "piece de resistance" in this restaurant). The chicken was dry and the beef was composed of thin and burned slices. Only the tzatziki sauce added some taste and only the pita bread was good. A shame as we were looking forward to a good Greek lunch. Will stick to some of the Astoria establishments from now on.
