Reviews on Greek food in Coburg, Bavaria, Germany. At the top of Bavaria and dating back to at least the 11th century, Coburg sat undiscovered by many late 20th century tourists, surrounded as it was on three sides by the former East Germany. The town’s main attraction, impossible to miss since it overlooks the town, is the 13th century Veste Coburg Castle, one of Germany’s largest and most beautiful. Sometimes called the Franconian Crown, today it’s home to three museums. Reformer Martin Luther, then an outlaw, spent five months here in 1530.

We waited one hour just for appetizers, thatâs what we ordered because we are almost all vegetarian, the place wasnât even packed and they could even mess up bread, I mean Bread ! it was tasting like a burning pan! The rice was bad as well, fish also.We are just out of the restaurant now and all of us feel weird in our lower belly, avoid this restaurant if you donât want to spend your later evening in the bathroom

This place has a lot of variety in Greek cuisine. The garlic butter is a delight and so is the garlic bread. I had ordered rice with grilled fish.. It was absolutely a delight to get such authentic flavors in such hearty Bavarian region. The food was served a bit too late but was totally worth the wait. The host is very humble and kind. Worth a shot if you want a change from German cuisine.
We arrived here hungry and lefty hungry after 2 hours. It was Saturday and the place was busy but far from full. The waiter needed 20 minutes to bring us our drinks and and the side-salads for the main courses ordered at the same time needed another 15 - they were small, bland and boring, not at all what I expect from a Greek restaurant. After a total of 90 minutes the lukewarm rest of the main courses arrived. I had a very small portion of chips that had definitely been reheated and a lamb filet very reminiscent of a shoe sole with quite watery tzatziki.
