This a very German restaurant. There is no menu. It is all verbal. They have a very limited selection. Get the Brathendl, the baked chicken. It is served as a half chicken with paprika spices. It is moist and delicious. For your pommes frites (French fries) there are five different kinds of ketchup. This restaurant is off the beaten path, but well worth the drive.

authentic Austrian cuisine, not overdone. A gem and definitely worth the trip. Try the wine pairing and prix fix menu.

Der Gasthof Wirt zâKarlsbach ist ein Geheimtip zwischen Hofkirchen im Mühlkreis und Oberkappel.Neben Interessante (Burger)Speisen findet man auch typisch österreichische Gerichte.Auch die Jausenkarte bietet für jeden etwas. Hier bemüht sich noch die Wirtin selbst um Ihre Gäste.
