Reviews on Gastropub food in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. One of the most multi-cultural and multi-faceted cities in the world, Toronto is a welcoming cosmopolitan community. Its urban sprawl of city blocks, skyscrapers, modish cafes, chic shops, and up-till-dawn clubs is balanced by an expansive network of parklands, beaches, lakes and recreational facilities. It always has its thumb to the pulse, with something new going on or being built, and an overall energetic vibe. Ethnically diverse, the city has a vivacious cross-section of options when it comes to dining, entertainment, festivals, and events. Whether you're attracted by vintage cinemas and antiquing, hiking trails and river rafting, or luxury shopping and spa weekends, Toronto has you covered. Best of all, it preserves its history while also being thoroughly modern, with streets going from contemporary cool to Victorian in under a minute. The city is a fun amalgamation every step of the way!

In the heart of Cabbagetown, this local favorite offers the choice of an array of classic dishes for lunch and dinner - burger, po' boy, steak frites, fajitas and Burritos, pastas and popular pub grub, and of course an amazing Craft Beer Selection!. And w
I like choosing restaurants based on location (close to hotel) and Tripadvisor reviews. Because of Labour Day weekend, a lot of restaurants in Toronto were closed, which forced me to look at a larger area around our hotel. This one got decent reviews, but did mean we had to take a taxi. Some Canadian friends decided to join us, and contacted the place to change the booking. They did not need to have bothered, as it was almost empty. It does not look great - it's a dingy pub without much atmosphere. It will probably look and feel better if it is full of people. The service was fine. The food wasn't. At least it was cheap. And there was nothing wrong with the beers. Altogether, this might be a good place for some drinks, if it a bit busier. But I would give the food a miss. I have no idea why so many of the reviews are so positive about the food, because this was not our experience.

Nice place, lots of atmosphere, good service and excellent food. I had the falafel on naan and this was very flavorful. Fish and chips looked really good too and I have high expectations for F&C as lived in England 3years
