Reviews on Gastropub food in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. With half a million people, Nuremberg is Bavaria's second largest city. While its history dates to the 11th century, Nuremberg is most often linked to the 20th century (specifically World War II). It first served as the site of many pre-war Nazi rallies, then was nearly leveled by Allied bombing, then was the site of the famous post-war Nuremberg Trials. The city has much to offer today's visitors, including the rebuilt Nuremberg Castle and the world-famous gingerbread at Hauptmarkt. Hansel and Gretel would have loved this place.

We would like to give you a warm welcome to one of the oldest restaurants in the old city of Nuremberg. We offer you Franconian and German kitchen with local ingredients, as well as a selection of special beers and wines. We are looking forward to seeing
We spent the afternoon walking and we had intended to have steak at Karstadt. There it was crowded and we were treated extremely gruff by the staff. So on we walked, disappointed and increasingly hungry. After all we were lucky since we found "Karl´s Brückla" instead. A very good find. We sat outside and watched the people go bye. The food (we had Tafelspitz with Horseradish sauce, Schäufele and Salads) was truly tasty. Typical Franconian fare, well cooked. The service was friendly and attentive, drinks arrived "in no time".Prices vary, some dishes seemed pricey, but then Nuremberg IS in general more expensive than the country side. Our dishes were adequately priced and worth the money.I recommend this place, and I will visit again.

Found this restaurant round the corner from our hotel on Friday evening. Ordered the liver and blood sausage with buttered mash and sauerkraut, my wife had weiner snitzel and both meals were delicious. Waiters were attentive and my wife was given tasters on the wine to assist selection. Two meals, two large wheat beers and two large wines â¬47, great value.
