Booked in advance for a sat night meal.The pub was really busy,with a nice atmosphere coupled with friendly and attentive staff.The food was exceptional-try the Chicken&Leek Pie,it was gorgeous!! Good service and very reasonably priced.Don't miss this little gem if you are in the area

Have been to the Royal Hotel twice now when I visit from Australia and I will be be looking forward to visiting again. Great fish and chips and sitting outside side admiring the views of Runswick Bay Area make it even more enjoyable. Very popular with the locals and the pints go down well also.
