(The restaurant is closed in july 2019) When Nordic ingredients meets Japanese preparation it becomes both intimate and social. We focus on sharing our knowledge of taste to create an open and informal atmosphere. If you give us the opportunity our chefs
I eat sushi often in the UK and I feel like Fangst still managed to make it new and exciting. Every course had a little story, every ingredient a journey to the plate.I have never eaten lettuce and been sad that it was over until now. From the fresh wasabi to the amazingly cooked monkfish it was a brilliant experience and I'm genuinely sad I'm not going to get chance to come again. The staff too were incredibly friendly and chatty, with some great stories of their own!

An amazing Asian fusion restaurant in a gorgeous villa at the west side of Oslo city centre. We had an amazing 9-course meal with gorgeous wines, quite pricey, but felt that it was good value for money as the portions were generous and the wine plentiful. Attentive waiters, great atmosphere - highly recommended if you visit Oslo and would like to enjoy an Asian inspired meal.

We booked this restaurant for a Monday dinner. On arrival many of the tables were filled which was nice as it gave a good atmosphere. The style of the restaurant is sophisticated. The welcome was friendly and we were taken to the table and offered a drink. We decided to order a bottle of wine. We chose a rioja as it was one of only a few within our budget. We were happy with it.The food menus followed afterwards but maybe it would have been nice to get them at the same time. The server was happy to explain the daily menu choices.Water and good bread and crispbread were served with a nice spread. We selected the the turbot and scallop terrine and the crab salad for starters and the lamb and special Iberica pork for mains. Each dish was well presented and flavoured. For dessert we had the rhubarb which was a little unusual in texture but very refreshing and the special apple dessert which was light and flavoursome. We have eaten in many fine dining restaurants at home and on our travels and overall we felt that the quality of the food compared well. One slight criticism is that the time it took for the starter to be served was a little longer than we would expect and we started to wonder whether it had been forgotten. The servers were very attentive, keeping our wine and water topped up and were extremely friendly. It was our last evening in Oslo and it was a lovely way to end our trip.
