Low tide beach combing walks can take you out to Punta Uvita Tombolo island. Snorkel, dive, and explore mangrove habitats. Or just sit with the family on the gold and white sands watching green marine iguanas sunbathe between dives into the rocks and corals to feed on marine algae.

We serve espresso, tea, cold-pressed juices, smoothies & vegetarian bites for breakfast, lunch or dinner along with craft beers, ciders and wine. Some tasty, healthy treats...that are quick to grab and go. If you are not in a rush, stay a while and chill
This is the first place we stumbled upon when looking for something to eat for lunch. The burritos and salads were fresh and delicious. Service was good too and the whole place had a really laid back vibe, with mainly North Americans. It's positioned right on the Baru river and made for a nice setting. Thanks very much for the great review. We really appreciate it. Hoping to see you back again soon!

Maracatu has been providing Dominical with a one of a kind experience since 2005. We pride ourselves on having found the perfect balance of good vibes, healthy food, great nightlife, a warm ambience, varied world music and environmental responsibility. Ev
The lentil burgers at Maracatu are tasty and very large. They are plated with salad, fries and burger fixings such as lettuce and tomato. If you are hungry and in Dominical, this is a good choice. The smoothies are okay but not the best we have had in the area.Unfortunately the wait staff at Maracatu did not seem interested in customer service. We walked into the restaurant and saw a couple wait staff - - they did not greet us but eventually pointed to an open table outdoors. The burgers arrived without a word or a smile. We did get a smile when we paid our bill.. The customer service was so unlike our experience at every other restaurant in the Quepos & Dominical area, it is what we will remember about Maracatu.
