We went to this restaurant for a special occasion. There were nine of us so we ordered several appetizers: fried calamari, shrimp ajo, mussels mariniere. They were all so delicious. For my main course I got the flounder francaise. It was excellent, just enough lemon. Our server realized we were celebrating and he asked what was going on. The guests of honor were getting married the next day. He immediately brought champagne to the table. How nice that was and it made our special occasion even more special. I will never forget his kindness.

Le Pain Quotidien

This one of several stops we have made here for French food and ambience. It's always been nice to get the flavor of good French type service with a wait staff that does not want to waste your time if you know what you want. Their menu is also easy to read and for the uninitiated about French food, they are quite understanding and willing to explain We are frequent travelers to France and are quite used to the quickness of a French bistro. By the way, do you know where the meaning of the word "Bistro" came from? It's not a normally understood term and goes back to the 18th century when the Russians discovered France and a great number of Russians were living in Paris and France. Bistro is Russian for Hurry, hurry, quick, quick. The Russians would pound on the tables yelling "Bistro, Bistro" and thus the name stuck for restaurants that had quick service and thus the term "Bistro" came into the French vocabulary. Now all small restaurants in France that specialize in quick service are called "Bisros" using the Russian word that is now French for quick service. This Bistro does serve quickly with its limited menu and does serve quickly and quite efficiently. We had a Quiche Lorraine, a Cobb salad and ordered French Baguette to take home and a mixed berry tart. The bill was$40 and we were on our way back home quite quickly. Yes, we go there when we need a quick, good meal and go do what need to do at Tyson's Corners.
