Tucked away in a little Oxfordshire village next to an antiques centre, this Gallic gastronomic delight is full of surprises and nothing short of exceptional! Service is friendly and hospitable, relaxed yet professional. Food is something special... We arrived just before the kitchen closed (4.00pm on Sundays) but were warmly accommodated nonetheless. We didn't want a large meal so we chose a starter/light bite each plus a portion of fries to share; then a dessert and cheese platter to share. The attention to detail was impeccable in each dish but the delicious lobster ravioles were particularly notable. And the cheese platter was exquisite (along with the homemade savoury biscuits and accompaniments). The Swan is not the cheapest restaurant in the area but you get what you pay for in this instance. This is fine dining in a relaxing environment. A lot of nearby gastro pubs charge just a little less for vastly inferior food, which often leaves me feeling a bit disappointed. The Swan won't disappoint. Your tastebuds will be tantalised to the point you might even feel a little dizzy! That's real value for money in my opinion!I've heard that Le Manoir recommends the Swan to its guests, and the staff of Le Manoir have been known to frequent the place on their days off. I understand why they would. The Swan surpasses most restaurants for miles around. This part of Oxfordshire never ceases to amaze me. There's a lot of typical gastro pub fayre (not all of it worth the price) but every few miles or so, within a lovely historical building or country pub, you find an unexpected gem with an exceptional chef. The Swan at Tetsworth is such a place. Fine dining in the best possible sense - beautiful food and hospitality, and not pretentious in any way. I'm looking forward to returning to sample more of the menu, and we'll also definitely try one of their weekday night specials (for example moules, dessert and a drink for just £15 on Thursdays). My only criticism would be that there's a fair bit of fois gras on the menu, which is not something I choose to eat. But I think it would be churlish to knock a point off for that reason. I didn't want fois gras so I didn't order it. What I did order was superbe. Thanks and appreciation to The Swan for your fantastic hospitality and cooking. Merci beaucoup!

We visited the Seven Stars on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. It is a vibrant village pub with an excellent dining room.Staff were really friendly and explained the menu and specials. There are some really great options - we had a burger, fish and chips, monk fish (special) and scotch eggs. All were cooked perfectly and served with a smile. The decor is perfect, tables well spaced and there is a lot of natural light. Outside there is a generous number of tables and a good car park.book and you won't be disappointed.

Returned and stayed over, celebrating another wedding anniversary. This iconic luxurious epitome of Englishness, married with French influences, is the best you will experience. Le Manoir knows their craft, and it shows. The fantastic staff are on hand in help making your stay a happy one. The food was amazing, as normal, every course was absolutely delicious, and fresh, and filled with flavour. Our room was a garden room which was romantic, as we shared some champagne together outside in the evening, looking at the stars, we were well wrapped up, it was such a joy.Flowers and chocolate was also part of our romantic package, which was beautiful.Thankyou for a wonderful stay, we will return, until next time....
