This restaurant immediately caught my eye when we were walking between the Jujigai tram stop and the Motomachi District. First, it seemed to be much larger than the typical Japanese eatery. Second, it showed off a Western rather than an Asian decor, a look that we had not seen in three weeks of traveling throughout Japan. So we decided to return here for lunch. When we entered at 2:45 p.m., i noted that there were two large dining rooms with customers still eating at about 15 linen-clad tables. An English-speaking waiter came to our table and ensured that we had a menu in English. One look at the offerings and it became obvious that we were in a curry restaurant. Most of the set lunch menus featured curry, a dish that holds no appeal for me. But I found a seafood offering -- salmon and mushrooms prepared meuniere style -- and I ordered that. My husband chose hash beef with brown curry sauce over rice, part of a set that came with soup, salad and a drink. My dish arrived. beautifully presented and brimmed with other seafood besides salmon, Including big, plump scallops, to which I am severely allergic. Our waiter's vocabulary did not extend to "allergic" so my husband and I decided to exchange dishes. He liked mine and much to my surprise, I liked his immensely. The curry proved to be mild and flavorful and a plate held condiments, such as peanuts, ginger, pickles and spring onions, which I could add as desired. My experience here served as an important reminder for me to determine all the ingredients in a dish before ordering, because of food sensitivities, and not to assume that what was listed is alI I would get.Our meals came to Y2,200 (plus tax), which we thought was quite reasonable.

After being in a train all day this hotel restaurant was the perfect solution. It offered Japanese, French and Chinese menus and everything was cooked fresh. They served cocktails, wines and beer, all well priced. It was the perfect solution when 2 people don't want the same cuisine. I had the seafood gratin and my fellow diner had French onion soup. Both were delicious. The ambience was great and the service was very attentive. The timing was perfect. Highly recommended.

A once-in- a-lifetime chance âWe know not the number of times we will meet again those with whom we make acquaintance. Treasure every such encounterâ. These are the words of the famed âSen no Rikyuâï¼master of the Japanese â Way of Teaâ. We endeavor to do
Restaurant was located out of the way and a bit difficult to access. Inside the décor is comfortable and classy. Unfortunately another table of 8 guests were very noisy that night. We tried the JPY9,500 dinner. In fact we should have some of us try the top priced dinner. The food was French Japanese fusion. The ingredients were fresh and good quality. The cooking was meticulous and tasty. The service was great. I asked for wine pairing and besides the food, I found the wine pairing a bargain too. I highly recommend this Michelin star restaurant to those who enjoy fusion food. My favourite dish was the chicken with mushroom, the wagyu and the chestnut mousse.
