I thought I would go to THE French restaurant on the beach on my last day there since I am French. I ordered fish. I am sure the fish would have been fine prepared a different way. Not only it took ages for my order to come, I was the only customer along with another couple who were finishing their meal, but the fish came literally swimming in a bath of butter. It was disgusting. You would think that people who order fish are trying to eat healthy. Not only it was unhealthy, but it tasted really bad.The price was also expensive for what I ate.

I had read the review on Chez Porkys on previous trips to Boca. Hica and was determined to try them this trip. Their location is difficult to find from Duarte still as there are no signs. Had to finally go to the beach and find them from that side. This is the slow season so my guest and the restaurant to ourselves. Enjoyed sitting by the beach with a cooling breeze coming through. Service was efficient with a, adequate menu. Prices ranged from $7-13 with most fish dishes around $8. My guest enjoyed the fried fish while I had pork chops... I thought I had ordered ribs so I was a little disappointed. I found the chops to be a little over cooked and a little salty but still not bad. I had read about the pouting being available but when I confirmed that the french fries were the local frozen variety I passed as how could they possibly compare to the pouting in Quebec.
