I was in the area and the group wanted to visit In-N-Out burger and wanted something different. Papa Urb's was in the area so I stopped in and tried the Tocino Wrap. The wrap was flavorful though I wished the meat would have been warm. This may be the way this dish is supposed to serve. The sauce served on the side made for a nice dip. The staff was friendly and I would go back but try something different.
My husband was excited to take me to Island Gourmet. A Filipino customer brought him lunch from Island gourmet. We drove 29 miles to go there. I enjoyed the pancit, lumpia, teriyaki pork & veggies. My husband also had dinoguapuan & chicken adobo , which he really enjoyed. We had so much food for $20. We ate the leftovers for dinner. A total of 4 meals for $20!I was surprised that this great eatery was not on TripAdvisor at the time.Had I known, I would have taken more pictures. We were struck by the fact that we were the only Caucasians in a crowded room of Filipino people. They obviously know good Filipino food. We were so impressed & will gladly drive the distance again. It's well worth it.
California, United States Food Guide: 3 Bar food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Tracy
This is a family owned business and used to be located in the same complex as the âSave-Martâ Grocery store on Tracy Blvd. I canât recall the previous name but the owner renamed the business and moved it to this location years ago. The name (Tracy Harbour Fish & Chips) is kind of meaningless (like saying, âwhereâs the beef in Wendyâs Hamburgers!â), because we donât live next to the ocean but âI guess you can just make-believe!â I loved the old place as well as the new because they havenât altered their recipe in the way they make their âFish & Chips!â The inside is just as small as the old but theyâre in an improved location which is easy access to the freeway and in the same lot as McDonaldâs & In & Out Burgers, which to me is no completion, because none of the other two make fish! Yaaa, âMickey Dâsâ make a fish sandwich if you like âcardboard with tartar sauce! This place might be small, but they have a wide assortment of selections from; grilled Mahi Mahi, Teriyaki Chicken Bowls, Udon Noodles, Calamari, Spaghetti & Chicken Combo, Chicken, Clams, Oysters, Blah, Blah, Blah, and so forthâ¦â¦â¦.. And if thatâs not enough to stuff your âpie hole,â letâs not leave out their large selection of side dishes to go along with your orders, (fried onion rings, lumpia, crab leg sticks, cheese sticks, etc.). If that doesnât get you full, get a greasy burger! Although waiting for your order can take a while especially during the dinner hour, itâs worth the wait. However, Iâm âsmoothâ and usually place my order from home then go pick it up which save me time from âfiddling with my thumb.â In my judgment, the fish is crunchy and moist and when you add the vinegar, itâs a great combination. Of course, when I was stationed overseas in the military, nothing equated to âbeer battered fish & chips like the English make them, but then again, this isnât England!â**Overall, the price is very reasonable and the food is pretty respectable if you want that fish craving satisfied.
