Reviews on Fast Food food in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Located in the northern part of the country, high above sea level, Ulan Bator is the coldest capital city in the world. The cultural and business center of Mongolia, and a hub connecting the Trans-Siberian Railway with the Chinese rail system, Ulan Bator has become a thriving urban center in one of the most remote locations in the world. Visit the Tibetan-style Gandan Monastery, one of the few buildings in Ulan Bator to predate WWII and one of the few monasteries to survive the Soviet purge.

Serving the best burgers & dogs in Ulaanbaatar at an affordable price.
I saw a sign for American burgers, and after a week in the Gobi Desert, that's exactly what I felt like. When I went in though, they were a Vietnamese restaurant. It was great food, and very cheap. I recommended it to somebody who was staying in my hostel and she also really enjoyed it.According to somebody I spoke to later, there is a 2nd Joes nearby which does the burgers. I was not disappointed by the Vietnamese food though, and reccommend a visit.

Probably the best pizza in town. Big slices and sizeable side dishes. Open til late, like most food places. They have a great deal for those on a budget: two slices of pizza, one garlic pastry thing, and either a salad or fried potato wedges for T8,999 (AUD5.00). Definitely a filler.

We stayed in a hotel nearby and decided to give this restaurant a try (based on other reviews). You order and pick up at the counter. Service was good and staff tried their best to answer in English. We both opted for the beef dumplings with three salads, tea and soup. The soup was a bone soup, a clear broth lacking in salt and pepper. The salads were ok, even if we did not like the potato red beet salad. The beef dumplings were average with a slightly dry dough and a beef filling which had a lot of fat in it. Maybe we expected too much, but some of the other dumplings in Ulan Bataar were a lot better.
