Lucky's Drive-In

Lucky's has been a bright spot in the neighborhood. Very good burgers and excellent shakes. You place your order at the window then sit in your car with the radio tuned to their channel so you can hear when your order is ready. Everything works great if it's not raining, but this is Washington so it probably is...so wear a hat and suck it up if you want a great lunch.

Big Daddy’s

Burgers are big and juicy, French dip was good but not great. Dinning room, tables and booths were clean, juke box style music playing in the back ground. Cashier style ordering and order was taken with a smile. Although, people in the back cooking or what ever, only appeared once and did not look happy. We would eat here again because it's close by and tasty food.

3. Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

14803 Pacific Ave S, Tacoma, WA 98444-4654 American, Fast Food, Diner +1 253-531-9097 http://locations.popeyes.com/wa/tacoma/12090/

First - they did a good job of remodeling this old facility ... it's clean, and well lit. The staff is young and energetic. The food is pretty much the same as any other Popeyes ... when compared to other fast food fried chicken places, it's better than most, but it's not the best. The real downside is getting in and out of the parking lot. Pacific Ave during peak eating times is so busy. I believe the failings of the previous 4 restaurants can be attributed this same problem.
