Skopelos is one of several islands which comprise the Northern Sporades island group, which lies east of the Pelion peninsula on the mainland and north of the island of Euboea. It is part of the Thessaly region. Skopelos is also the name of the main port and the municipal center of the island. The other communities of the island are Glossa and Neo Klima (Elios). The geography of Skopelos includes two mountains over 500 m (1,640 ft); Delphi (681 m/2,234 ft) in the center of the island, and Palouki (546 m/1,791 ft) in the southeast. With an area of 96 square kilometres (37 sq mi) Skopelos is slightly larger than Mykonos (85 km/33 sq mi) and Santorini (73 km/28 sq mi). The nearest inhabited islands are Skiathos to the west and Alonissos to the east.

Modern, well located- just before the Hovolo beach, serves good coffee, lemonade an light lunch. Apart from the drinks I would recommend to try their Greek salad served in a bowl made of crispy pastry

We were touring the island after Oct. 3rd and many restaurants were closed for the off season (although they appeared open on trip advisor ). The owner of Our hotel, Aegean Wave Faros, recommended rightfully this restaurant as being open and with good food. We were not disappointed. The service was very friendly and the owner spoke good English. The atmosphere at the restaurant was pleasant (we opted to sit inside as it was drizzling, but the outside seating was very appealing). The food was freshly prepared and served. We liked this place and we would recommend it for its wonderful hospitality and simplicity.

Great place to people watch. Friendly, not pushy, attentive & up for a laugh. Beautiful fresh Greek salad & mixed dips, my partner had pork gyro in a wrap, a large bottle of water & a beer under â¬18. We thought there had been a mistake, so checked the bill, everything present & correct. That is fantastic value for money. We went again today. Tuna salad & mixed dips for me,utterly delicious a mixed kebab for my partner. It is tasty & fresh... no doubt we'll go again before the week is out. It's a little gem, nothing to not like
