It is located in the north central part of the county, twenty miles (32 km) north of Washington, D.C. It was largely agricultural until the 1960s, when growth of the Washington suburbs led to its conversion into a mostly residential area. As generally defined, Olney had a total population of 33,844 in the 2010 U.S. Census. In 2013 it was ranked #22 Money magazine's "top-earning towns" edition of "America's Best Places to Live."

There are only two places to eat corned beef or pastrami in Maryland. One is in Bawlmer, and here in Olney at the "King". You really cannot have a samwich anywhere else, because it just won't taste good. They are consistently the most tender and flavorful meats on a samwich. I drive from Frederick County to eat here, not as often as I would like. Trust me, you will be overjoyed you came here for the corned beef or pastrami.

Their Italian's are great with the freshly sliced meats and cheeses. Cheese steaks are yummy too. I did try the Baja chicken wrap and it just wasn't particularly good. Flavour combos just were weird with the salsa and cheese. Would have been better with sour cream or queso. The jarred salsa had that cloying sweet fake taste although the pickled jalapeño provided a brightness.

We went here for a quick dinner stop after Sandy Spring ropes course. It was late so no time for a sit down dinner. All sandwiches were made correctly and efficiently. Closes at nine. Outdoor seating and indoor.
