Had the Jordanian pizza for lunch today and it was awesome. Olive and Zatar are a great combination. Great price too!

I was curious to try the new restaurant in the area and I was looking for Shawarma. This spot is 6 months old, just kitty-corner to the Salome Hotel in Madaba and I was not disappointed. It was friendly, welcoming and great food. True Jordanian hospitality. All is prepared fresh, so it is "made to order". The Shawarma with fresh veg and fries was great and the garlic dipping sauce was excellent. Also, good to hear others were happy with their Kabab. I look forward to trying the Halloumi with thyme. It is great value and open 'till 0200 am with free delivery! So when searching for a late nite snack, check out Hala Snack. Good stuff !

We stopped here for a quick buffet lunch on our way to Mount Nebo. It was recommended in our guide. Wouldnât say this was the best lunch we had in Jordan...not even close... but there was variety and choice so that was nice. And to be honest, there is hardly anything else in the area to choose from! The buffet costs 10JOD or 12⬠per person.
