I had some of the speciality chicken and my wife had aloo and paneer parantha roll. Both delicious, especially the latter. The manager of the restaurant is charming, helpful and attentive. You know that it is a professional restaurant that cares about the customers when they (politely) stop you from over ordering! A Muslim restaurant, so no alcohol.

We went to some really good restaurants in India during our stay but none did beat Ashoka's veg restaurant in Aurangabad. One of the meals (Veradi dhal aloo I think) was the best I have eaten in a long, long time. It tasted so good and left me a wonderful impression of Aurangabad. It is not the nicest looking place and it is right by the bustling traffic and shops but wow the food was amazing. It is also extremely reasonably priced and we had a great waiter in Sartosh who provided excellent service.
