The city was founded in 1803 by the Scioto Company led by James Kilbourne, who was later elected to the United States House of Representatives, and named in honor of Thomas Worthington, who later became governor of Ohio.

Excellent wine list. Knowledgeable, well mannered and excellent sommelier Chris Dillman, Efficient General Manager Michael Melching, Justin our waiter and of course the chef and his team all made for an excellent evening. The cuisine was perfect. We enjoyed the tomato soup, squab, salad and bison striploin cooked nicely rare. The Fourrier Clos St. Jacques 2012 took a little time to open up but delivered magnificently. The tasting of various Madeira vintages was a superb end and a great pairing with a perfect Creme Brûlée- awesome pastry chef.Thank you very much Thanks so much for dining with us and we are so glad you enjoyed your the entire experience! I was seated quickly for a Saturday afternoon. I just had water so that was served quickly. I ordered the wedge salad which was lovely. It was just big enough. Plated nicely. I had dessert of a blueberry muffin which was very good. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. There is a full bar.

stopped by for a night cap but they were out of a lot of beers that were on tap. Need to make sure that they have beers that are advertised.
