Food pretty good, esp the starters. Enjoyed the crab and the arancini. Mains were OK, nice gnocchi, pizza very oily though. Service was fine. Atmosphere is nothing special. Thanks very much for leaving us a review. Atmosphere is not really something we can control, if we are busy (which we usually are as you know) and people are engaging in conversation, the atmosphere will be naturally lifted. If you enjoyed our food and service, what more could we have done to make your experience a 5 star experience? Hopefully you will try us again,Jen

Visited on a Saturday evening. Six adults & two young teens. Didnât know it was a fixed price menu beforehand, but not a problem. You know where you stand with the bill, except for adding drinks. The service was friendly and the menu appealing, with something for everyone. There was no White Zinfandel or White Grenache rosé on the wine list, which was a personal disappointment, but not a mega issue. The after dinner coffee was not nearly hot enough for my liking, but again, not the end of the world. I started with lobster bisque, followed by king prawns (I know, two fish dishes!) and had a fruit topped meringue for dessert. All three were delicious, with the soup piping hot. My other half opted for paté, steak in a cream and pepper sauce and chocolate gateau. The accompanying potatoes and vegetables were all tasty and well cooked. I think all eight of us cleared our plates, including the children, so the Candlesticks chef must be doing something right. I checked out the vegetarian options for friends and was impressed with the choice of six or seven dishes. Yes, we intend to eat at Candlesticks again in the not too distant future.
