The city is located on Ilha de São Luís (Saint Louis' Island) in the Baía de São Marcos (Saint Mark's Bay), an extension of the Atlantic Ocean which forms the estuary of Pindaré, Mearim, Itapecuru and other rivers. Its coordinates are 2.53° south, 44.30° west. The city proper has a population of some 1,082,935 people (2016 IBGE estimate). The metropolitan area totals 1,605,305, ranked as the 15th largest in Brazil.

A French came back years later with his wife to live in São LuÃs and opens a french restaurant. Lovely place for romance!Menu very interesting with exquisite plates and short list of wines to go with.Not so easy to get there. Very discreet façade so going to the end of Ponta da Areia take a look at those streets to the left. I think its the 3rd or 5th.There are tasting events on thursdays, check before going.

Excelente restaurante para se comer um bom bacalhau.Pedimos bolinhos de bacalhau de entrada e pastéis de nata de sobremesa.O prato principal estava muito bom: Bacalhau à Braga.Recomendo!!!Apesar de ter rampa para acesso, a mesma fica interditada pelos carros dos clientes mal educados.

My friend invited me to this place, this is not just restaurant, this is shop and restaurant and cafe. I like this place so much. There is good interior, not tipical one for São LuÃs. Europe one. The owner walking around the restaurant, listening what customers are need. Checking how service is. Servers working well. Everyone kind and smile. The restaurant has good summer patio.
