Find out what European restaurants to try in Port Royal. Port Royal is a village located at the end of the Palisadoes at the mouth of the Kingston Harbour, in southeastern Jamaica. Founded in 1518 by the Spanish, it was once the largest city in the Caribbean, functioning as the centre of shipping and commerce in the Caribbean Sea by the latter half of the 17th century. It was destroyed by an earthquake on June 7, 1692, which had an accompanying tsunami. Severe hurricanes have regularly damaged it. Another severe earthquake occurred in 1907.

I went to Fromage Brasserie with two friends visiting from Canada. The evening was pleasant, so we ate in the outdoor section of the restaurant which is shared with other restaurants. Service was friendly and relatively quick, the menu is diverse, and the food we ordered arrived hot and well-presented. Two of us ordered specialty burgers as complete main courses, and one of us had grilled salmon. All of the food was tasty, attractively presented, and worthy of comment. Highly recommended for an evening out with friends.

Very good restaurant serving delicious meals. We went to this Restaurant as a group of six while vacationing in Jamaica.F & B is located on Harbour Street, Kingston and in close proximity to businesses, banks and the Kingston Waterfront (Harbour).Secured parking is available behind the Restaurant on Water Lane.On arrival we recieved a warm welcome. The staff were professional yet friendly We dined in the Q where booking is recommended. It is quieter if you have a business lunch or just simply want to talk. The clientel seemed to be persons who work in the area. The atmosphere is pretty laid back. Great concept as this is also the Swiss Jewellery Store. There is a bar where alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages are offered. Cozy corners with sofas dot the large space with televisions. The Oxtail was excellently prepared and delicious. One may also have freshly prepared salads, pasta, steak at this Restaurant. I recommend for lunches whether casual or business. All in all a gem in Downtown, Kingston.
