Our hotel ( sun beach) is close by so for a chsnge at dinner time we walked to capannina restaurant ( it was safe to walk on the strip at night though dark but it was ok) waitress speak English and food was good and not expensive. We even tried the house cocktail and rhum arrange( fruits infused rhum) . Maybe stick with beer as cocktails or wine was not that good. But atmosphere was relax with jazz music

Rooms adequate. Restaurant food good. Water in shower a trickle but this seems to be the norm in Madagascar. Bed comfortable air conditioner works, mosquito net don't, but didn't need it with aircon.

Madabar is situated a bit far from the center of Morondava and even much further from the beach. Madabar is the rendezvous of the French residents of the area which can be a bit of a problem for the non-French speaking guests but the food is quite good and the place is worth a meal.
