We had a very nice lunch at La Poiana. The restaurant smartly has large windows providing stunning views of the lake and the town of Barrea. The grilled vegetables were an outstanding starter. The Gnocchi with cabbage and potato puree and the the walnut pesto pasta with local mushrooms were excellent. As advice, note that it can be very warm (even on this Autumn day) if your sitting directly in front of the large windows. A worthwhile visit on travels through the area.

It was our first visit to Reale so we decided to do the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairing. This way we could experience some of the Chef's favorite dishes and utilize his wine knowledge for pairings. We would recommend this approach. The next time we visit we decided we would each select three or four different dishes from the main menu, that way we can try some of the dishes that were not on either tasting menu. There were several dishes we wished we could try. We also decided that we probably would purchase wines off of the wine list rather than going with the pairing suggestions. In our opinion some of the pairings just did not work for us. The wine list is very long and we saw several wines we would like. So I think the next time, yes we will be back, we will order a bottle of white and a bottle of red off the wine list. This is a good restaurant. The dishes are very creative and the chef lets the natural flavors of the food perform by themselves without using too much spices and seasonings. We enjoyed our visit very much! Tip - because the restaurant is small - only about ten tables, reservations are a must. And since it will probably be a late night, consider staying in one of their nine rooms upstairs from the restaurant. Very nice, and they serve you a wonderful breakfast!

Mini Market soltanto nel termine.Vasto assortimento e abbondanza in tutto.Pane di ogni tipo e genere, nonché ad ogni ora. Frutta e verdure ben scelte dalle ottime mani del proprietario, Delio, persona capace e competente. La figlia, Egle, molto disponibile e comprensiva, anche nei giorni di maggior affluenza.Prodotti tipici e non; vasta scelta e grande competenza tra i collaboratori. Continuate cosi, sarete premiati dai tanti Vs ospiti/clienti.Consigliato anche per i tantissimi prodotti già pronti, sapientemente preparati dalla brava signora De Renzis.Andateci che ci ritornerete.
