Fun Izakaya in lively Shimokitazawa. Service is friendly and fun, like many izakayas. Almost theatrical. They have English menus. About a quarter of the crowd seemed to be non Japanese....but restaurant didnât seem touristy.They have a set meal option...but we went ala carts and ordered up several plates of tapas. The flame seared mackerel lived up to the hype. The fried chicken was good tooCertainly worth a visit. I believe there is charge for the salad they serve at the start of the meal and I believe smoking is allowed. Did not bother our group but may bother others.

This is a cool, hidden way basement bistro (35 steps below street level). The vibe is lively and the food was delicious...we had sashimi, prawns, chicken wings and crab, with some cold beers and sake served in bamboo. Great service. I would definitely go here again.

Came here to enjoy the views. The manager took us to best spots in the restaurant for photos. Kudo helped us with drinks.
