While taking care of funeral arrangements, my brother and I came here for breakfast. Let me tell you, both of our plates were absolutely perfect. Cooked as we ordered, no greasiness, cheerful and helpful staff. I could not have asked for anything better. I just wish I lived here, because this would be my go-to place.

Metro Diner

This restaurant was recommended by a local hotel. The restaurant is located off of St., Road however it is convenient to many of the Bensalem area hotels. The restaurant sets within a strip center next to the Hampton Inn. Most of the customers in the restaurant appeared to be locals. We stopped by for breakfast. The food was fantastic. We both had the omelettes and the fruit waffles. The service at this place doesn’t get any better. As a business traveler I wish that many of the other restaurants that I Frequent had the same level of service. Denise was our server and she did an excellent job making sure we were aware of all the specials, she was also very helpful going over the menu items and checking back often to make we didn’t need anything. A gentleman what appeared to be the manager also stop by and asked if everything was OK. I would definitely recommend this restaurant at least for breakfast if you’re ever in the Bensalem area.

Michael's Restaurant & Diner

Micheal's was a short drive from where we were staying at the Sleep Inn. We had a party of 4 children and three adults. When we entered on a Tuesday night around 6pm, this place was empty. I can't tell why. Our server was nice and the restaurant was clean. Most of us ordered the early bird specials that came with the salad bar, cup of soup and dessert. I ordered the grouper, it came with one side. I ordered the lima beans marinara but was disappointed because they were heavily salted and had a freezer burn flavor. The grouper was most likely frozen too, but it was flaky and moist. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals. I really liked the salad bar! It had plenty of selections, was fresh and kept clean. I wish their bread baskets were lower though. For us short folk, it was hard to reach. My other observation was that they have those square tables with the fold out leaves. One of the leaves on our was on a horrible slant, which made me concerned some hot food would fall onto a child's lap. The waitress said that the leaves didn't come down. It would've been nice if they had offered moving our table. In all, this was a pretty good place to bring the kids for diner fare and a good salad bar. For the seven of us the bill was about $100.
