It is located approximately 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Sacramento. The community is known for its rolling hills that offer the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, its foothills, and a rural environment in the middle of a growing metropolitan area. It was Sunday and the line was out the door and up the street... This place was hopping!It was worth the wait. We did wind up sitting outside which was a little chilly but the food soon warmed us up. I had the Sutter burger: 2 Patties, Grilled Onions and Mushrooms, w/Swiss on a Ciabatta...YUM! My wife had half turkey sandwich with cup of soup. The servers as very fast and attentive. There food and service are old school and wonderful. We will be back in April. Take a walk around the streets and visit the Train Museum while you are there, they have done a great job.

Stopped in for a late lunch. First time at Black Bear in California for my husband. Restaurant was clean and neat. Food was fresh and ample. Our server Brandie was delightful. She was efficient and personable with all the patrons. Familiar with regulars and friendly with us first timers. Respectful of an older Veteran and thanked him for his service. Clearly had a good rapport with the kitchen staff as well. A very nice experience. We'll be back.

After attending Sunday Mass with my son and daughter few months ago, we were totally happy and satisfied with our breakfast. The waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. It felt like we were visiting relatives the way we were treated. Thank you Countr Waffles employees for your excellent service!
