We used to live near Oak Ridge, TN and were visiting friends. They suggested the Jefferson Fountain for breakfast this morning. We had an enjoyable experience. The restaurant has been open since 1944; it was one of the original restaurants open during the Manhattan Project and some to the menu items reflected the names of that day. Anyway, our breakfasts were basic but very good. We all had some variation of two eggs over medium with bacon or sausage and biscuits and gravy or toast. Service was great. Staff were friendly and personable. And, the prices were very reasonable. We'll go back again sometime.

Stopped by on my way to an early morning flight out of Knoxville. I am fairly certain that this restaurant is open 24 hours. There is plenty of parking. There is a $5 menu with about 10 items. I ordered a waffle and raising toast with a tea for about $9. The food was fresh, served quick and well priced. The staff was efficient and friendly. I would recommend for people that want a great waffle, good service at a good price.

Went there with our grandsons, daughter in law and my husband and myself. We always are looking forward to going to a place with the 50's atmosphere. Great for lunch, lite dinner, or ice cream. We are from PA so they had an unusual menu selection with things we have never eaten.
