Love the personal service, great food and the 1950's atmosphere. The menu is expansive, the great food Is reasonably priced, and the servers were welcoming and fun.

Listened to the waitresses yakking about a customer that called to complain. He said he had been coming here for years but will never return. The waitresses and the owner said they didn't recognize him. As I sat at the counter waiting for my breakfast for over a half-hour I watched all of the waitresses grab water cups and drag their dirty hands through the ice chest to fill the cups instead of using the nice ice cup that was just sitting on the chest as required by the Iowa Health Department. I won't be coming back for their way over-priced food that I can get cheaper and faster at Perkins. They don't even give a military discount like the 20% off that Perkins does. They are slow at coffee refills even when you're sitting at the diner counter. It was a slow day at the end of summer with very few customers so there was no reason for the slow service.

We had a group of 8 & were lucky to get a table with little wait. My sausage & gravy over 2 enormous biscuits was only $4 & I couldnât finish it. Service was fantastic & all the food was great! Would definitely go back!
