The Rocket came recommended by the staff at the hotel where we were staying, it was only a short trip. Located next to a small strip shopping center in a residential neighborhood. We were there at an off hour so it was not crowded. The space type decor was enjoyable. The service was very good, friendly and knowledgeable, the food came quickly, the portions were generous and the food was well prepared and tasty. All in all a good experience and worth stopping by.

Ok I wrestled with the rating on this. The $1.00 menu is good. We went with the $5.00 menu and ordered the waffle & egg & waffle & bacon. Ordered the double burger also, ask about mayo & ketchup and was told customer adds. Food arrived & looked good. We had to stop waitress & request syrup. Waitress never brought mayo & ketchup. After we were stacking plates she brought the bacon. It's was black in spots. Customer service is the backbone of this type of establishment. So it was a toss up between 3 & 4. 3.5 would have worked, so 3 on service, 4 on food & price.

Southern comfort food, served in a cute dining room (not too big, perhaps 10-12 tables), by very friendly staff. Decoration revolves around Andy Griffith Show/Mayberry, and you just feel good eating there. Gourmet? Absolutely not. Good home cooking? Right on. We've eaten there several times, never a wait, always quiet, clean, relaxing. Nice location, off the main street with good parking. Did I say friendly staff? They always make our day.
