Authentic Detroit-style Coney Island food in a pleasant but simple decor, with Detroit sports and music pictures, etc. Good service and prices. Good food. Also has Vernor's and Fargo pop, and Sanders hot fudge. I heard they get their authentic chili from a place in Detroit.

I have been going to Maxcy's Grill for breakfast and always enjoyed the food and the great customer service; then I made the mistake and went there for dinner. Unfortunately the food was not good. We ordered the fried chicken dinner w/mashed potatoes, gravy and a cheeseburger w/potato salad. The cheese burger was average but the potato salad was delicious. The chicken dinner was really bad

At the hotel's suggestion, we decided to have dinner at Sloan's. Our waitress was Esmeralda and she was WONDERFUL! She seated us quickly, and was so friendly and patience with our questions. We ordered cocktails and fried zucchini which was yummy for an appetizer. For entrees, I ordered the grilled salmon and my husband ordered the baked salmon. Both orders were delicious. The sides were also fresh and tasty. We were so impressed with the quality and abundance of food for such a reasonable price! Plus, Esmeralda was a delight!
