Bobby's Detroit Coney Island

Authentic Detroit-style Coney Island food in a pleasant but simple decor, with Detroit sports and music pictures, etc. Good service and prices. Good food. Also has Vernor's and Fargo pop, and Sanders hot fudge. I heard they get their authentic chili from a place in Detroit.

Maxcy's Grill

Reviewed By Nvr2Late2Live

I have been going to Maxcy's Grill for breakfast and always enjoyed the food and the great customer service; then I made the mistake and went there for dinner. Unfortunately the food was not good. We ordered the fried chicken dinner w/mashed potatoes, gravy and a cheeseburger w/potato salad. The cheese burger was average but the potato salad was delicious. The chicken dinner was really bad . The front of the menu says something to the effect of "not at the speed of a microwave" but the microwave reheated almost everything that night! The microwave must have been used 3 times and the food tasted like it. I was so bummed out!!! The chicken was burned, the gravy tasted like flour and had flour clumps. I also noticed at breakfast they used the microwave to heat up refried beans and today my pancakes were under done in the middle. For the quality of the food served it is a little pricey. I really should give them a rating of (2) but the staff is so friendly and fun. I hate to say it but I think I am going to drive the extra 2 miles and have a great valued meal at Goody's.......Sorry Maxcy's.........

Sloan’s

At the hotel's suggestion, we decided to have dinner at Sloan's. Our waitress was Esmeralda and she was WONDERFUL! She seated us quickly, and was so friendly and patience with our questions. We ordered cocktails and fried zucchini which was yummy for an appetizer. For entrees, I ordered the grilled salmon and my husband ordered the baked salmon. Both orders were delicious. The sides were also fresh and tasty. We were so impressed with the quality and abundance of food for such a reasonable price! Plus, Esmeralda was a delight!
