Ellie's 50's Diner

My husband and I went to Ellies for breakfast. It was scrumptious. We were seated immediately and a friendly waitress came and took our drink orders and was back a few minutes later to take our orders. My husband got pancakes that were good but they were not as light and fully as he expected. I got the almond french toast that was very good with a side of home fries. The coffee was great. We really enjoyed our meal and if we lived in the area we would go back often.

Sande's Restaurant

Sande's offers good food, good service, reasonable prices, but NO CREDIT CARDS. There is off street parking behind the restaurant. Roxanne, our waitress, was pleasant, and efficient, and frequently checking in with us and freshening our coffee. (My first cup was just warm, but the refills were warmer.) The staff was very accommodating trying to set up for our original eight people, but only four made it today. Thankfully, this busy place had available seating for us.All four of us were pleased with our breakfast. One had blueberry pancakes which he liked because they were filling, but not heavy. One had scrambled eggs with home fries and bacon. Another had eggs over easy with bacon and hash browns. I had a potato and egg sandwich on rye which was tasty.Maybe next time, all eight (or more) can attend.Sande's has something I've never seen in any eating establishment: a bottle of hand sanitizer on EVERY table--thoughtful and appreciated. And, the staff makes you feel like you made a good choice going to this Nice Spot.

Green Owl Restaurant

We had lunch today at The Green Owl. Their split pea soup is thick and delicious. I also has a BLT. The soup and sandwich combo was $7.95. I drank fresh made unsweetened ice tea. They are only opened for breakfast and lunch, and they do not take credit cards. Cash only.
