Antico Buffet Benedetto is a very nice downtown restaurant that is clearly favored by the locals. We dined on a Monday evening along with many other quiet patrons. The interior was warm with pleasant music playing in the background. Our server was friendly, the table settings were handsome and the vegetables were all very fresh. We ordered a number of dishes including Three Fish Antipasto, Ham Plate Antipasto, Grilled Tuna, and Boiled Meats and Potatoes (photos attached). The Grilled Tuna was very good and the Boiled Meats were exceptionally good. We have eaten at many restaurants in Trieste during our numerous visits and we would definitely eat here again. Gourmet restaurant based in Trieste, Italy. Fish, meat, and vegetarian gluten-free dishes. Cellar +100 wines. Making everyone happy is our delight.

Pasta was good, and our fish was excellent. The Asian touch injects lightness which contrasts with some traditional local offerings. There was good advice on local wines, where we were guided to a very inexpensive wine that was perfect with our meal. We left feeling excited by new tastes, and without being too weighed down. Altogether, an interesting take on traditional Italian cooking, which could indicate the future...
