It lies in the south east of Cornwall, facing Plymouth over the River Tamar. It was in the Caradon district until March 2009 and is known as "the Gateway to Cornwall". Saltash means ash tree by the salt mill. Saltash is best known for the I.K Brunel Railway Overpass Bridge, a towering 134-foot bridge, constructed in 1854, which frequently transports trains over the River Tamar.

My family and I visited this cafe last monday (24th June) and it was brilliant.Nothing is too much trouble for the staff at the cafe and when my son had a meltdown (he is Autistic) the staff didn't flutter an eye lid.The food and drink is lovely and in very reasonable priced.We would definitely recommend this cafe and all the great work the staff do. Thank you! We understand that meltdowns are part of life - better out than in! Look forward to seeing you again
