You need to go upstairs from the Deli on ground level. That's where we met an ungrumpy Mr Grumpy and his wife - both very nice. Great chowders and sides! Quick, friendly service and a nice break from trudging around the tourist traps of Juneau. Well worth a visit if you can find it.
Alaska, United States Food Guide: 3 Soups food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Juneau
After 3 days in Juneau, we were ready for a not-expensive, not-sit down meal. There is a lot of variety at this deli. There were many locals ordering to eat-in (tables provided) or for take out. My husband didn't care too much for his gyro. I had the tuna sandwich and it was great. The bread slices were huge, so I actually wasted one slice of bread and ate it like an open sandwich. Of course, this was to save room for the mac and cheese...very tasty! There were hot options, sandwiches, sides, dessert. We should have come here a day or so earlier. It's also right by the airport and convenient if you're going 'out the road.'
Found this place when looking to buy local coffee to bring home.It looks a little Hippyfide but has some fantastic items and we came out with much more than the coffee we went in for. I can certainly recommend a visit.
