Buche is the first greenhouse restaurant in the Caribbean, and serve Contemporary Dominican Cousine.
Was here today with our nine month old baby and have to admit, we are very very disappointed. Letâs talk about the good thing first, the theme of the restaurant is very creative for Santo Domingo, itâs a very open space backyard with greens and plants. Other then the theme, there is really nothing else good to say about this place, the waiters basically ignore you whenever you need to ask for something, we ask for a baby chair, and they told us that they donât have any, donât know if we were annoying them or they really donât have baby chair. Next is the food, I guess they are trying to do a modernize dominican food or something, but they are not close at all about being creative. Putting a bunch of micro green on top does that make the food gourmet or creative. The shrimps that my wife order was not fresh, it was soggy and falling apart and it was not properly cleaned, the sand intestine are still inside, the shrimp rice soup that I order does not have much taste or favor, and the appetizer we order feel like itâs something that is from the street cart but put on a plate to look pretty. In general, this is not a place for eat, if you are here for the theme, itâs wonderful, just order Coke or anything from a bottle and you know you are in good hands.

A gastronomic society exploring the Caribbean Cuisine. Local ingredients, African spices with European technics. Join us, letâs discover...
Visited the restaurant with the family and some foreign friends. The concept is very nice and new in the city, showcasing Creative Caribbean Cuisine. Many interesting dishes support the offer from appetizers to desserts very well made using mostly local ingredients and contemporary methods. The ambiance is no more that elegant and sober with a classic French decoration and an Antillean touch. We ordered several dishes and all were very well made and delicious with an appealing presentation. We enjoyed the Caribbean music very well selected all night long. The service needs still to be adjusted to be on top as the rest of the aspects. I will come back soon to try the rest of the dishes. A new recommended place to go and discover !
