La Table de l'Alpaga The Alpagaâs gastronomic restaurant, which was awarded one star in the Michelin Guide in 2014, is run by the hotelâs chef, Anthony Bisquerra. Drawing his inspiration from nature, he works with seasonal produce, such as seafood and lak
We stayed at the lovely Alpaga hotel and ate both in the Onyx for a more laid back meal and the Restaurant L'Apaga on our last night. We also had breakfast as we were staying in the hotel. The Onyx was great - very stylish, great service and good menu. The main challenge was with the Restaurant. We were guided through the menu in a very friendly and helpful way but once in the restaurant it felt we were forgotten and it took 40 minutes between main course and dessert. The food was not piping hot. The restaurant manager did apologise but it felt that this came far too late and with the knowledge that we had been forgotten. On all three mornings of our stay we had problems with our breakfast order. On the first morning the eggs were overdone and the crepes were cold, on the second morning we did not get asked for our order and as we wanted to be off skiing did not bother and on the third morning the waitress forgot our order all together. For a 5 star hotel which is a really special destination, this hotel really needs to focus on improving the dining experience as it meant our 5 star stay seem mediocre and 3 stars.Dear guest,We sincerely regret to read that we not exceed your expectations. We are sorry for your impression about our Michelin star restaurant & breakfast, your comment have a great value for improve our service. We hope to have another opportunity to offer you a better experience, and we apologize for the inconvenience.Kind regards, Arnaud Payet - Hotel Manager

Welcome to La Table des Armaillis, Cuisine de Montagne in Les Saisies selected in the MICHELIN guide France 2019. Discover the culinary world of Joan Bois: a gourmet and generous cuisine around local products.
We have been to Les Saisies since several years. This year we discovered this new restaurant. For us is has been a great experience: french cusine gastronomique with japanese influence, a great combination for us. We had a menu of 5 services as a family. Everything is very fresh and intensively prepared with taste. The location of the restaurant is a little bit outside the center of Les Saisies but easy reachable even by foot (15 min).

We happened to accidently drop by for lunch on a car trip through the area. Expecting a nothing out of the ordinary mountain/countryside restaurant, it turned out to be a wonderful surprise - and the best meal on our two-week vacation in the Alps. Instead of a selection of regional specialities, the restaurant offered something more in the style of âunpretentious fine diningâ based on local produce. The services was very friendly and enthusiastic, making the meal a relaxing and pleasant experience. The choices on the menu were rather limited. There was only a three course set menu available, which could be expanded to four or six courses. We opted for the basic version. All the dishes were beautifully presented as well as being tasty. Obviously made with great care and love for the ingredients. Each dish was perfectly sized, making the meal as a whole substantial enough to feel satisfied, without the feeling of being stuffed. For the hungry ones an upgrade to four or six courses might by advisable. There are probably cheaper meals to be enjoyed in the village, but taking the quality of the food and service into account the price level must be best described as a bargain. To sum it all up, I would say that this restaurant is well worth not only a stop your way through Hauteluce, but a destination on its own.
