Starting off a memorable and Romantic Weekend Getaway in Port Alfred (in celebration of our Anniversary), we had Dinner at The Thistle. With excellent service - warm & dedicated, impeccable setting & ambiance, fine food and sparkling champagne (non-alcoholic), we had indeed a memorable dining experience.

Great service and chilled atmosphere with their 1920 gramophone record playing in the background. They locally source their products and the homemade pesto was superb on my mushrooms.Good selection of breakfast items to suit all tastes.

We stopped for a bite and the food was good value for money, depending on what you want. Nothing out of the ordinary or something special if you have a foodie experience in mind. It's was good basic food, the service was good and it is situated right on the river which is a better view than looking at the carpark!
