Piccolo ristorante che fa della qualità il suo punto di forza. Piatti particolari e ben eseguiti allieteranno ogni vostra visita.
I was with my girlfriend and we really appreciated that we took an "Yes" for every ask. Carbonara wasn't in menu, but they did it for us and didn't put a high price. Also, the wine, like the food, was very tasty. We really enjoyed it!

Restaurant with excellent food, wine and relaxing atmosphereFantastic little, modern and very welcoming restaurant in the hart of Monterotondo town, it's only half an hour from Rome. Excellent food, delicious wine, friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere. Their antipasto (salami, ham and cheese) is âto die forâ and with a few glasses of nice red wine...couldn't get any better! Thank you La Rocca del Gusto for being such a lovely place!

Good food presented in an orignal and modern way that is unusual for a small-town restaurant. The owners are extremely nice and the variety of food offered is extensive. Basically what they do is offer very traditional dishes presented and reworked in a modern way. For example parmesan, rocket and some kind of prosciutto or bresaola is a classic in Italy, but they shred the prosciutto into a fine fluff making it nicer to look at and easier to eat. The entire time I felt I recognized the flavours of the things I was eating but the presentation was very original, you'd get your pasta in special dishes or crowned with breadstick decorations. Some people in the room got a real kick out of presentation, oooohing and aaaahing at every dish. The portions were also amble put not excessive, more modern that what you get in a traditional place. Other nice touches: a quail egg with truffle as antipasto (very yummy), warm chestnuts wrapped in prosciutto or similar (sweet, soft, delicious), duck in raspberry sauce. Lots of fun things to try and a good selection of meats, which is not usual for the Rome area. Overall a truly positive experience, I would definitely reccomend trying this restaurant. Just a few notes: all my dishes seemed to have strawberries in them, from the antipasto all the way to the dessert, I like fruit, and I guess clients get a kick out of it so maybe it's a smart move, but I thought it was a little weird. The wine list which was pretty decent didn't have years for the wines, that's not too cool, you need the years, it makes a big difference. The room is a bit dark, you feel like you're in a cellar, but to the owners' credit they decorated well in order to compensate and the tables are cozy.
