Found this cafe after wandering round Dorchester, actually came in the entrance by Waitrose. Sat outside in the courtyard in a sunny spot. Staff were attentive and friendly. We both ordered a sandwich and were extremely impressed with them. Lovely thick soft bread and almost over filled. One of the best we've had for a long time. Looking forward to visiting again!

Set in a lovely rural setting this is a place you must eat at if visiting the area. We went for lunch and the staff were attentive to all your needs, a lovely pub inside with olde world charm. The food was both well presented and of ample proportions, with out a doubt one of the best sirloin steaks I have ever had. Great ales, what more could you wish for. Make sure you give the Thimble a visitThank you for your kind words, our staff work tirelessly to make sure that all our guests enjoy their time with us so I am pleased that it has been noticed. Our steaks are from a local supplier who is just up the road from us and every piece of meat that we get from them is always superb. We hope that if you are in the area again that you will come and visit us again.

It has a whole vegan and gluten free menu with some nice options. I went for the Beyond Meat burger but the tapas options looked yum.
