Reviews on Chinese food in Minden, Nevada, United States. Minden is an unincorporated town in Douglas County, Nevada, United States. The population was 3,001 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Douglas County and is adjacent to the town of Gardnerville. It was founded in 1906 by Heinrich Friedrich Dangberg Jr., who named it after the town of Minden, in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, which was near his father's birthplace. A large share of the first settlers were Germans. Minden was founded on company land of the Dangberg Home Ranch and Dangberg commissioned most of the town's early buildings. Minden has had a post office since 1906.

This restaurant has changed hands at least three times in the past 10 years. The new owners have upgraded the interior in a subdued maroon with lovely white dinnerware. Even better, the food is more delicious than it has been in the past. Well worth trying again.Had hot & sour soup at 4pm with fried wonton stuffed with cream cheese. Excellent! Pleasant service. Soup served hot with lots of ingredients. Off 395 in north Minden at Ironwood Drive (west) by the Quality Inn. Plenty of parking.

Stopped by this unassuming restaurant in the strip mall on a road trip. I'm always on the lookout for a good banh mi: a Vietnamese sandwich typically with roast pork and pickled vegetables on baguette. After perusing their menu online I was very saddened to find it was not on their menu, but I called just to check and they make them! Super yummy sandwich with sweet roast pork and pickled vegetables, my only improvement suggestion would be to put it on standard French baguette bread, the large roll they served in on was a little bit too much bread for my liking. We also got an order of the fresh rolls which were super awesome. We will keep this place in mind next time we head through Gardnerville!

I take my mom to Hunan at least once a month. Standard Chinese food options, but everything is fresh and the portions large. Family run place and the staff is very friendly.
